GRASTON Technique

Graston Technique is an innovative form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables the clinician to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed, hand-held instruments to specifically detect and treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

Graston is commonly used to treat almost any soft tissue injury, including muscle strains, joint/ligament sprains, tendonitis, repetitive use injuries (such as ITB syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff pathology) and post-surgical scar tissue debridement.  Along with other therapeutic modalities, Graston helps to break up adhesions, stimulate proper tissue healing and ultimately restore normal strength and function of the soft tissues.

Dr. Moscati is one of just a handful of chiropractors in New York City certified in the Graston technique of soft tissue mobilization.
